Affliction Strikes Fear into the Fashion World
When they first came out, Affliction shook the fashion world up pretty effectively. They had athletes wearing their threads and not just any athletes but the very best of the MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) crowd. That meant their models were guys who regularly beat the living daylights out of other extremely well muscled guys. That’s a bit of a challenge to the wimpy models most clothing lines employ and there was simply no way for any other clothing line to compete with what the Affliction clothing folks managed to put together in terms of marketing because it was genuine representation rather than simple paid sponsors.
You see, Affliction shirts started off being worn voluntarily by the guys who fought MMA because they wanted a way to really rep their sport and promote a more theatrical look that would appeal to fans. In case you didn’t know MMA is what those who fight in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) are using. It’s pretty great to see a sport not only emerge, but make it’s own fashion statement along the way. It’s a great time in sport’s history when something like this goes down.
You don’t have to be a genius to see the value of saving money. If you play your cards right you can find a solid Affliction sale online that’s going to save you boatloads of cash. Otherwise you’re stuck checking local retailers and for most of us, good luck with that because Affliction has not reached every town around, yet.
